Saying goodbye to both of your best friends (both moved over Christmas holidays) and your grandparents (here for December, but had to go back to their home to get healthy) in the span of a week really takes a lot of a family. While I don't think any of us have settled into a new normal yet, we're getting a lot of interesting conversations.
On the way home from school today:
M: When are we moving back to trumpet grandma and grandpa's house?
D: Moving or visiting?
M: I want to watch TV on the couch where we slept with our cousins
Apparently, the US means TV for my children. Ugh. I hope when we do move back we can keep sports and park time as high of priority as they are now, even if we will own a TV and hopefully have cousins come to visit.
