Four Years!

Happy Birthday Ezekiel!

My birthday boy with his school cupcakes. He was upset with me for sending the camera. "No one else has their pictures taken!" But, I told him Xavier gets his picture taken and I'm sending it. I like to see what they do.

Xavier had a birthday party on Ezekiel's birthday, so he got to spend the whole afternoon with mommy and daddy. He was very excited! We watched Transformers and then he chased Sharkticons for the rest of the time. This is him warning the Sharkticons that he's coming.

Take my picture up close!

My friend made Ezekiel's birthday cake for me as well this year. Ezekiel was thrilled that Chick Hicks was winning the race and the cars on fire were a big hit with all the kids.

Attempting to be tow trucks like Mater. It was a much better idea on paper.

We made a cardboard car. It was amazing what a difference there was between the "Grande" kids at Xavier's party and the "Petite" kids at Ezekiel's. We did basically all the same projects, but it took less than a quarter of the time and the kids weren't near as interested.

Two Months!

Smiling - kinda. She kept moving her head behind the toys so I couldn't get a good picture, but she's definitely smiling and loves peek-a-boo. I also have to comment on her Italian outfit. We've received clothes from friends and they come from at least 6 countries (US, UK, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland). It's been quite the challenge figuring out what size something really is, but she's got a lot of really cute clothes.

Ezekiel takes every chance he can get to hold Makenzie. He's a little upset about his birthday coming up. He does not want to change numbers, so he can stay Mommy's baby. For a while he thought if he didn't have a birthday party, he wouldn't change numbers, so he kept insisting that he didn't want a party. I've now convinced him that he's changing numbers with or without a party and he's decided he wants a party. It's not going to be on his birthday though because his decision came too late.

Makenzie was on her stomach and Xavier was playing with her. I was on the computer looking at all my blogs and Facebook. Ezekiel turns around from eating breakfast and says, "Mommy! Her head is off the mat!" I turn around and Makenzie's on her back. Xavier wasn't sure if he'd helped her. He didn't realize it was a big deal except that our floor isn't very comfortable. So, I rolled her back over to see if she'd do it again. The boys kept rolling in front of her to show her how it was done.

This time she definitely rolled front to back with no help. The boys were in bed, Ulysses was doing dishes and I was taking out my contacts. I'm not sure either of us have actually seen her roll, but just the results.
